“This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it” Psalm 118:24, NKJV.
God has never made anything the same, including today. This is a new day. You’ve never had one like it, and you won’t ever have another one like it again. It is one of a kind. See each day as valuable, treasure-filled, full of mercy, full of opportunity, full of learning, and victory. God has caused you to open you eyes, which should let you know that He has a plan and a purpose for you. Make the first thing you do, as soon as your feet touch the floor, is to rejoice in God and be glad that He’s blessed you to see a new day. Own it.
The more thankful you are to see another day, the more value you will see in living it and to make it count. It’s up to you. Regardless of what you are going through, choosing to rejoice is choosing God and to have an expectation of Him. He made this day, therefore, He will be good to you and He will be good through you. Be determined to rejoice and live, and press forward in your new day in God.
Prayer: Father, thank You Lord for a new day of life. I will rejoice and be glad in it! I receive Your joy and I thank You for simply waking up. You have blessed me! Life is precious, valuable and good. I’m expecting some great things within this day You’ve made. Choosing to rejoice is choosing to have faith in You. I trust You will lead me. Help me to own it and make it count. Be glorified in my life today! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
