Maximize your time.

June 21, 2022

“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is” Ephesians 5:15-17, ESV.

Time is one of the most important areas to tame in a man’s life. It is the ability to focus on a goal or desired change and give time to it. The Father desires that we give our time toward what causes His will to be experienced in our lives and more people to be impacted for Christ.

A spiritually-wise person in my life told me when they spend their money, they like to have something in their hands to show for what they spent. This nugget of wisdom applies to how we spend our time also. It’s not foolish to play video games and watch sports. It is foolish to spend all of your time playing video games and watching sports. You always want to have something to show for the precious commodity of your time.

It is deemed as precious because once it’s gone, it’s gone. You will never see this week again. You will never see your next hour or minute again. Make it your mission to be about God’s mission. Give your time to what ultimately will give back to you. Make it your mission to know what God’s will is for your life right now, set your eyes on your goals, and sow your time into doing that.

When your day is done, you will have whatever you gave your time to.

Prayer: Father, thank You. Help us all to be serious about redeeming the time because the days are evil. Help me not to do too much or go too far with the things I enjoy. Jesus, cause a focus to rise big in me to be about the mission you’ve given me and Your plan for my life. When today is done, I will praise You for helping me maximize my time. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
