If You Want to be Happy, Get in His Will

February 6, 2022

“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” Psalm 34:8, NKJV.

In Atlanta, Georgia, one of the major highways is 285. It is literally a massive circle around the city, leading you to anywhere you need to go. Yet, if you don’t get off 285, you will eventually end up right back where you started.

If you want to be happy, happiness isn’t found where it may appear to be. It may seem for a man we know how to get there, but eventually, we find like 285 we are right back where we started–unfulfilled and unhappy. As a godly man, a believer, if you’re not careful, you can find yourself going around like a circle in one area or another in life.

It can be frustrating and tiring to want something to work that was never meant to be.

Our happiness isn’t found in our will. Our happiness is found in His will. It is only found by letting go of our way, and your Creator’s desires and plans become accepted. We say—okay, Father. Okay. I will do what You say. We say no more circle living, and we’re going to trust God.

The Bible says blessed, or “How happy!”, is the man that trusts Him. You decided to hear what the Lord has to say, do it, and then discover that the key to your happiness is in His will. Taste and see that He has a sure blueprint for your happiness, and don’t let fear rob you of it. You’ll never be happier than when you decide to be who He created you to be.

Prayer: Father, how happy I am when I trust You! Show me, Jesus, what I have in You, and who I am. If I am out of your will in any way, help me to get into Your will instead. Whatever that requires of me to do, or decisions I have to make, help me to obey You. Help me to believe that Your will makes me happy, overwhelmingly fulfills me and that I give way to it in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
