You will not live in shame.

November 10, 2023

“Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” Hebrews 12:2, NKJV.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death” Romans 8:1-2, NKJV.

Jesus hung on the cross naked, beaten and spat upon, slandered, mocked, and ridiculed. He not only took on himself your sin but also your shame. Shame is the secret robber of freedom. It will keep your head down. It will make you walk away from your blessing. He was judged, condemned, and pronounced guilty, so you wouldn’t have to. He took on all of your shame so you don’t have to.

For some of us as men, this is a secret battle. Don’t allow the devil to secretly make you feel ashamed and condemn you for what you’ve done. Even about what you may still be dealing with. You can say yes, God is still working on me, and I’m pressing forward, but I will not live in shame because of what Jesus did on the cross. What you’ve done is not your identity, only your testimony that you are now the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

Jesus has sat down next to the Father. He wants you too also. Rest in his perfection and grace. You are forever worthy of God. You are forever worthy of every blessing.

Prayer: Father, I give you praise. I choose to walk after your Spirit and receive there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. I’ve been made new and your own. I rebuke all shame and condemnation. I’m not perfect, but thank you, God, I don’t have to be! Jesus took on all shame on the cross. He is my perfection and righteousness, and I’m alright. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
