“The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy…For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him” Psalms 103:8 & 11, NKJV.
“Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy” Matthew 5:7 NKJV.
Within this Psalm alone, the mercy of God is talked about four times, but referenced throughout it and scripture. It is as high as the heavens are above the earth. He says He throws our sins as far as the east is from the west. His mercy is everywhere. It’s all around you.
Receive an awareness of the mercy of God that surrounds you and how good He is. Since His mercy is all around you, let it rest everywhere in you, in every area of your life. When you are with your family, or when your kids are talking to you about their lives, let mercy abide there. When someone encounters you, let them encounter His great mercy, love and compassion.
Sow it on your job. Sow it in your relationships. Give it to yourself. The mercy you are a blessing to give away, will be the mercy you are blessed to receive.
Prayer: Father, You are so good! Everywhere I look, everywhere I go, Your mercy is there and I thank You. Help me to walk with awareness of Your great mercy and let it into every part of me. Cause Your mercy to bring joy, rest and contentment in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
