ďBrethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ JesusĒ Philippians 3:13-14, NKJV.
There are some things in our past that we canít do anything about or change. Thereís nothing you can do to gain that time back. No repeats. No do-overs. Absolutely nothing.
It can be tough, but we have to come to accept that. It holds us up from hearing God now, seeing God now. No one sees us, but like an old car that is done, itís past its age, past its prime, weíre still tinkering around with what those years could have been like, what we should have done, who gave us bad advice, who betrayed us. Stop tinkering with the past.
The goal isnít to change your journey. The goal is to complete it. It is to find out what God is saying to you and then, to the best of your ability, do what He says to walk out His plan for your life. Itís great to know in spite of the past, thereís still a great plan for you! God says itís still intact. Let go and take hold of the Holy Spiritís leading, and I am a living witness, he will still get you there.
Prayer: Father, I praise you and thank you for speaking to me in a real way. I have to let it go and move with you now. Help me to stop tinkering with the past and embrace my now. Help me see and hear you right now. In Jesusí name, Amen!
