Your Reasonable Service

December 2, 2018

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service” Romans 12:1, NKJV.

It’s our reasonable service to daily present our lives holy to God and to worship Him with our lives. After considering what Jesus has done for you and the price he paid for all of your sins, as you consider the truth that he shed his blood for you, once and for all, as you understand that God’s commandments are not grievous (burdensome, heavy and weighty) and all the blessings that He has in store for your life, it is more than fair.

Like receiving the best deal for a purchase, the best thing that can ever happen in your life is when you are a living sacrifice–reflecting what you were purchased for. Let your life humbly be not your own today. As His Holy Spirit moves on your heart to make certain decisions, you make them. When He wants to use you to make disciples and do good to others, you let Him. As you give all that you have to Him, you will find there is no losing in God, and even as a sacrifice, you receive more life, living an abundant one. You flourish. You dominate. You receive grace and you walk in victory.

Whatever He wants to do in and through you, be encouraged to be a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto your Maker as your reasonable service.

Prayer: Father, the word sacrifice alone sounds like I am about to die, or give up everything. Remind me that I will actually live abundantly. Remind me Your desire is to see this man have victory. To not have to physically pay the price required that Jesus paid for me, a living sacrifice is my reasonable service. It’s fair to completely live for You. My life is hid now in Christ and I humbly ask that You help me to trust and obey You today. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
