“Then David said to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand…” 1 Samuel 17:45-46, NKJV.
David was small in stature on the outside, but he had faith bigger than Goliath on the inside. The Lord was bigger than any giant he faced. That’s how he saw his God, which was the source of how he saw himself and what he believed he could do with the Lord on His side. His faith in God ministered to him to have faith in himself as well.
No matter the giant you are facing, it doesn’t bear in comparison to the size of your God. The Lord towers over your adversary, as the sun towers over the earth. He is all-powerful and has all authority, wisdom, and sovereignty. He reigns and He is more than able to deliver victory into your hands. We speak great faith over you. Fight for what is in your heart that you know to be true and know to be yours because the real giant–Jesus Christ–lives on the inside of you!
Prayer: Father, You are great and there is none like You. I will not back down from what You have spoken to me. You are on my side! Through faith in You, I will defeat the giant in my life in the name of Jesus! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
