Think about where you were and praise.

January 15, 2020

“So David said to Michal, “It was before the Lord, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the Lord. And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight…” 2 Samuel 6:21-22, NKJV.

Think about who and where you were. Now, think about who and where you are. You should praise God. Where would you be as a man right now if the Lord would not have helped you in your life? You should praise God.

David danced out of his clothes because he considered just how much the Lord had done for him. God took him from watching over sheep, and out of anyone He could have chosen, to choose him to be king over Israel. He thought of his own journey, his own walk of faith, and all the times that the Lord provided for him. Through every fight, God delivered him out of them all and brought him to this blessed place in his life.

It’s always in order each day to remember where the Lord has brought you from and pursue to not allow where you would like to be to hinder your hallelujah. It will lift your head. It will cause you to be humble and take note with joy of how blessed you are.

Prayer: Father, when I look back and think about who I was and who I am, I praise You. I can’t even count all that You have done. I praise You because You did it, not me. I humble myself and thank You for it all. I won’t complain. Help me never to forget all that You have done for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
