Walking In the Power of Your Faith

November 23, 2018

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report” Hebrews 11:1-2, NKJV.

Walking in the power of your faith is like going to the grocery store and buying everything your wife asks for on her shopping list. You return home with all of your grocery bags and your wife asks, “Did you get the eggs?” “Yes”, you respond. She then says, “I don’t see them.” You next response is, “Yes I did. Here are the eggs right here on the receipt. See, I purchased them”. You then recall leaving them at the register, so you drive back, show the cashier your receipt for the purchase and take them back home. God’s word is the receipt of what has already been purchased through Jesus Christ.

Realize the power of your faith. It is so powerful because it brings substance to what you are hoping for, what we have been freely given and that God will keep His promises. By faith you can go to God’s word, and believe on what He says.

You will have what He said, even restoration. Just as we have faith in what a receipt says as evidence of what is ours, do the same with God’s word and stand in the power of your faith today!

Prayer: Father, I come to You today thanking You for every promise You have made. I thank You for every ounce of wisdom You offer and the success that comes with following it. Help me stand more and more in the power of my faith. I have the receipt of Your word and Jesus paid for it all. Create in me a greater hunger and joy about Your word. Thank You for walking in the power of my faith! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Study: Hebrews 11:1-6, Numbers 23:19-20, Mark 11:23, 2 Corinthians 4:13
