The first step to changing anything in your life is allowing God to search you. Tell the Lord that you have nothing to hide. Try me and prove me. Make your utmost desire to be right before You. Here I am Lord and I want you to know me. Search my heart. Here is why I do what I do, yet is it right in Your sight? It’s right in other people’s sight, yet is it right in Yours?
Go before a holy and good God that doesn’t condemn or hold you in guilt. No longer hide what has never been hid from Him in the first place. He knows what’s in your heart, your motives and how the wrongful things in can harm you; when you say search me Lord, you realize it as well. Your exposing says you invite Him in to change you. Your exposing says you want to be pleasing in His sight. This is the open heart that God desires.
Prayer: Father, thank You Lord for You truth. Search me Lord. Try me and know me. I want to be pleasing in Your sight. If there is anything wrong in me, any sin in me, show me. I open my heart for You to change me and continue to work on me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
