“Then the Lord answered me and said: Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.” Habakkuk 2:2, NKJV.
The prophet Habakkuk was seeking God for His response on what He will do about the Chaldeans that were violent and wicked against God’s people. He wanted to know what would God do, so he set himself to hear from the Lord. God then responds, telling him to write the vision that I give you, make plain on tablets so they that read it, can run with it.
Now is the time to set yourself to not only hear from God your vision, but to run with it. There may be a crooked generation around you, yet He will give you His vision, His will for your life, so that you can make an impact. Once He supplies it, write it down. Do the practical step of writing whatever He speaks to you.
When you have a vision, it is your vision. It is what you see. When you write it down clearly, you now are helping others to see it too–the people who God will send after you. God will gladly add to you the people you need, but a clear vision is required so they can run with you. Know and be encouraged to run and not get weary, because He will surely come to pass!
Prayer: Father, You have a vision for my year and for my life. I desire to do my part to impact the world for Jesus. I set myself to know the vision You have for me. Speak to me and help me to write it down plainly, so those that You send to me can run with it. I ask for the grace me to run with it. Also, lead me to whoever You would have me to help also, and we’ll will advance the kingdom together. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
