Real Peace, Real Rest

October 1, 2018

“Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.” Hebrews 4:1, 9, NKJV

Believing God will help us enter into a rest that we’ve never known. It’s a place when daily stuff doesn’t bother us like it use to. Things that use to occupy our thoughts and minds because we are worried about them, don’t bother us like they use to. We believe God and we have entered into His rest for our souls.

God doesn’t want your rest and peace to be dictated by circumstances; that isn’t real. If good things are happening, you are happy. If you make an error, if the sales decline in your business, if a co-worker does something wrong that affects you, if your money gets low, in an instant, your mood changes. Just like you insert a letter within an envelope, God wants you to insert your faith, engage your faith in Him in those moments during your day–and rest. He wants you to believe on Him that He will handle every matter in life.

As a parent tells their child to trust they will take care of it, so does God say to you. He has a real rest and a real peace He wants you to operate in, so He can fill your life with joy, and you can live life as He intended. He also desires for others to see Him shine through you and what He can do in the life of someone that decides to trust Him.

Prayer: Father, I desire real peace and real rest. Help me to believe You when you tell me You got it. I come against stress and moodiness. I will not come short of this promised rest. I thank You for rest and peace because I believe You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
