People will be people, but God will be God

January 4, 2018

“Then Jesus said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.’ And they divided His garments and cast lots” Luke 23:34, NKJV.

In this life, as long as you’re on the earth, there will be people. People that are going to choose to talk about you. There are people that are going to choose to be evil and hurtful. There are people who will enjoy causing train wrecks. They’ll choose to like seeing people down. They will have a negative attitude, instead of having a positive one. They will choose to not support you and be against you.

People are going to be people, but God will be God. He is on the throne and His will for you is going to be done in spite of what people decide to do. They won’t change His mind, His favor nor His word. He will continue to be faithful, and He will be Your defense. He will bless you in the midst of your enemies and set you a table before them. He is going to tell you to love them anyway. The real enemy is the devil who is behind it all. The Lord will tell you pray and ask for them to be forgiven, just as Jesus did while even on the cross, because they truly don’t understand what they do.

Let God continue to be God in your life and don’t be moved. No matter what they choose to do, as a man of God you’re responsible to keep doing what you’re supposed to do. Remember, the powerful truth is that the love of Jesus you display will sooner or later, change people.

Prayer: Father, people will be people, but you are still God. In spite of them, I choose to be like Jesus. I ask that You forgive them for they know not what they do. I ask that you heal their pain and use the love of Jesus that I display to change them. I ask that the light of Jesus bring them out of darkness. I thank You that You are God and You are good. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Study: Matthew 5:44, Acts 26:17-19, Romans 12:19-21, 1 Corinthians 13:8
