“You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore” Psalm 16:11, NKJV.
I’ve been in the presence of a lot of people, but no one gives me a full joy, a full perspective of my hope and victory like the Lord. In His presence, there is an exceeding gladness that can’t be compared. It’s not found in the things we can acquire. It’s not found in the sports we watch. It’s not found even in the beautiful wife we have. His word says that in HIS presence is the fullness of joy.
How do you get into His presence? It is the same as it is naturally–you come to Him. Come before Him with heartfelt praise because He inhabits the praise of His people (see Psalm 22:3). Also, whenever and wherever you take the time to pray as His son, the Lord shows up and meets you there. Anytime you go before Him and pray for someone, or an area of your life, the Lord is near. When He is present before you, everything that seemed heavy becomes light. You sense His love, His power, His comfort, and His strength.
God is real and so is a tangible experience of Him. Wherever you are, whether you’re going through a trial, whether you need some hope, or all is well, seek to get in His presence. Being in the presence of God will fill your cup and refresh your soul.
Prayer: Father, I come before You in prayer right now. I will not rush either. There’s nothing like being in Your presence and this fullness of joy found in You. Oh God I praise You and thank You! Fill my cup Father as I am before You. Lift everything that is heavy and before You I am reminded of the hope and victory I have in Jesus Christ. I am in Your presence and I thank You for it.
