Move Beyond the Page

October 28, 2017

“Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?” Ecclesiastes 8:4, KJV

“For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.” 1 Cor. 4:20, KJV

One thing seen continually in scripture about God is that the Gospel came not only in word, but in power. He does not only tell you His Word, He performs it. He is a real God that provides real results.

His power goes beyond the page. For example, according to Philippians 4:13, we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us. This scripture goes beyond the page when you go to Him at any time, wherever you are in life, and you actually experience Him strengthen you. When you go to Him and receive power to do all the things He tells you to do, helping your weakness, helping your hope, helping your faith.

Move beyond the page and try Him. Try praying to Him and watch the power of prayer when you actually hear Him speak back to you–God actually moves and answers you. Try meditating on His word and watch it bring you a steady, constant peace in your mind. Try obeying God and watch Him actually reward You. Try doing good to others and watch yourself become more happier in life then you’ve ever been, for it is more of a blessing to give than to receive (Acts 20:35). In every area of your life, move beyond the page and experience the results of God. He desires you and I to experience Him, not just in word, but in power.

Prayer: Thank You Father for Your Word. You are King and You have power! Help me, by faith, move beyond the pages of Your Word and do what it says. You watch over it to perform it. As I apply what You tell me to do, how You tell me to live, how you tell me to love, I will experience the power of it in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
