God’s perfect will starts in your land

June 26, 2019

“Now the Lord had said to Abram: Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing” Genesis 12:1-2, NKJV.

I found a local Kroger that wasn’t doing so well in sales. It was built in a very awkward location and hard to reach off the main road. Well, it moved less than a mile away across the street, and now the store is thriving. Being in the right place is what made the difference.

God told Abraham to go into a land that I will show you, and there is where I will bless you and make your name great. When we are not where God has told us to be, we begin to experience hardship, and God provides no favor there. For some of us, we are simply in the wrong land. Some of us are at the wrong company, have started the wrong business, are serving at the wrong church, have settled in the wrong city, and are dating the wrong woman. If you want the perfect will of God, if you want to experience the blessings God has for your life, it starts with being your land. There is where God will abundantly bless you. There is where God’s favor will surround you. There is where you will begin to hear more of God’s plan for you. There is where you will become great and become the greatest blessing.

Prayer: Thank You Father, You are good, and Your mercy endures forever. Am I in the right place? Am I doing what You told me to do? I need to be where You want me to be, not where I think I should be or have been told by someone else. You saved me, and I have a right to enter into every one of Your promises. I refuse to be off course. Forgive me if I missed your direction. Tell me where to go, and I will go, Lord. Get me into the right place, Your perfect will for my life. I praise You for it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
