“Then David said to Saul, ‘Let no man’s heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine’. Then David said to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand…” 1 Samuel 17:32, 45-46, NKJV.
David was small in stature on the outside, but he had faith bigger than Goliath on the inside. The Lord was bigger than any giant he faced. That’s how he saw his God, which was the source of how he saw himself and what he believed he could do with the Lord on His side. His faith in God ministered to him to have faith in himself.
No matter the giant you are facing, it doesn’t bear in comparison to the size of your God. The Lord towers over your adversary, as the sun towers over the earth. He is all powerful, and has all authority, wisdom and sovereignty. He reigns and He is more than able to deliver victory into your hands. Therefore, it doesn’t bear in comparison to what you are able to do through Christ which strengthens you and is on side. Don’t back down from what God has called you do. Fight for the will of God. Fight for what is in your heart to accomplish, because the real giant–Jesus Christ–lives on the inside of you, and with faith in him, there’s nothing you can’t do!
Prayer: Father, You are great and there is none like You. I will not back down from what You have called me to do. You are on my side! Through You, I will defeat the giant in my life in the name of Jesus! I will fight with giant faith. I believe in who You have made me and I will do Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Prayer: Philippians 4:13, Romans 8:31
