Don’t live empty, live filled with His Spirit.

June 7, 2018

“And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” Ephesians 5:18-19, NKJV.

When you begin your day, get filled up with God. Even if you’re already at work, don’t live today on empty, or half a tank. Act on His Word, praise God and let His Spirit fill you now.Pray, give Him praise and glory. Worship the Lord and spend time in His presence. Bless the Lord with your mouth and thank Him for all He has done. Don’t stop in your time with God until you are filled with the Spirit.

The Holy Spirit came upon the apostles, and now on us, with power to be a witness for Jesus. He also lives in us, and at the same time, He daily fills us to help us. Just as a cup gets filled, God will fill you with His Spirit, and He will fill you with His joy peace, love, and all the fruit of His Spirit (see Galatians 5:22-23). Once He fills you, the Father will send you to go forward with power and direction for your day.

Prayer: Father, fill my cup this morning. Fill me with Your peace. Fill me with Your love. Fill me with Your joy. Fill me with Your power. Hallelujah! You are good and Your mercy endures forever! There is none like You and I give You praise today. Fill me Holy Spirit! Overflow in me and through me to a dying world. I go forth boldly being a witness of Jesus in my words, my works and in my lifestyle. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Study: John 14:16, Acts 1:8, 2:4, 4:8 & 31
