He Says Rejoice!

December 1, 2019

“This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it” Psalm 118:24, NKJV.

I didn’t feel like rejoicing this morning, but He told me to. He told me to take my eyes off of my feelings, and rejoice! I believe He is telling you the same.

Take your eyes off of your feelings, your circumstance and obey His voice to rejoice! Rejoice over Jesus and the hope we have in him. Rejoice over His goodness. Rejoice over His plans for you. Rejoice that it’s not over. Rejoicing isn’t based on a feeling or a condition. It stands on the truth of God’s word and His truth about your life.

Sometimes, you won’t feel like rejoicing about your victory, yet that doesn’t mean you don’t have it. Sometimes, you may wake up and not feel like you are more than a conqueror, but that doesn’t change that you are. Your obedience to rejoice will change how you feel and as an eagle, you will mount up and soar over your circumstance.

Some of us men God is even commanding to rejoice. He says no more. We’ve been down too long and He wants us to come out of the place we’re in. He says rejoice!

Prayer: Father, I hear You this morning. Regardless of how I feel, this is the day You’ve made. I will obey Your word and rejoice. I will be glad. Help me to stand in the truth of Who You are, and what You say about me. As I rejoice, take off all heaviness and give me a garment of praise. Let joy rise. I will rejoice! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
