Don’t Ever Change

January 25, 2020

“Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit” Psalm 51:12, ESV.

I remember when I first got saved, I use to sit on the floor in front of my radio, listening to the same song before the Lord. I would sit and bask in God’s presence. I would just quietly sit and spend time with Jesus. Nothing else mattered, and I found joy and peace at His feet. Salvation was simple then, but I allowed life to make it complicated. Yet, not anymore.

Maybe life happened, and now salvation, your relationship with the Lord, isn’t as simple, and you feel it isn’t as pure it used to be. Maybe you’ve started seeking only for what the Father can do, rather than seeking Him. You have many needs, and it’s challenging to just sit before Him.

Be encouraged to return to the simplicity and joy of your salvation and your walk with Christ. Jesus hasn’t changed, nor has your salvation. The same man that you were, you are still that same man. The excitement of serving the Lord, the purity of your seeking God, the child-like faith, and the joy of your salvation doesn’t have to change.

Prayer: Father, in spite of life, family, and other things, help me not to change my walk with You. I receive a fresh joy of my salvation. Even if You want me to do the things I did when I first got saved, I will. I will sit at your feet, Jesus. I will praise and purely seek You, Lord. I will serve You with gladness. I won’t change. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
