Do It Anyway

September 14, 2017

“Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it. Jesus said, “Take away the stone.”

Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.” Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” John 11:38-40, NKJV.

Lazarus was dead for four days, which according to Jewish belief then, that was beyond the three days time the spirit of a man was in the midst of their body. He also began to smell. Even Martha believed that Lazarus was beyond dead and could not be revived. Yet, Jesus commanded them to roll away the stone. It took an act of their faith to do it, but they did it anyway.

Although your situation may seem beyond repair and beyond being revived, whatever God is commanding you to do, do it anyway. Just as it didn’t make since to remove the stone from Lazarus’ tomb, it may not make sense to do what He is telling you to do. Know that just as He was setting them up from a miracle, God is setting you up for a miracle to happen in your life.

Don’t lean to your own understanding. Do what God is asking you to do regarding your family, your ministry, your business, and your finances. Do it anyway, because He is about to do a miracle in your life.

Prayer: Father, thank You for speaking to me and encouraging my faith right now. Help me to not lean to my own understanding and to trust You. At the command of You Jesus, I will do it anway. I will see the glory of God. I believe a miracle is about to take place in my life. I thank You now. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!
