A man that praises God

June 4, 2018

“Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day” Psalm 71:8, KJV.

God told me one day, “You don’t praise Me enough”. I thought I praised God a lot. His response was, “Exactly. You need to say it more.”

The devil opens his mouth, but he doesn’t want you to open yours with praise to God. The more he can get you listening to his words of defeat, the less he has to hear your praise, declaring the victory you have through Christ Jesus.

Life and death is in the power of your tongue (Proverbs 18:21), and the more you give God praise with your mouth, the more you will stir up your joy and your faith. Your praise will remind you of God’s power and keep you encouraged. Your praise will declare that He is a great God, and that He is more than able to overcome any obstacle before you. He is able to do what He said He will do.

One practical way to help you open your mouth and praise God more is christian music. Turn it on in your home, in your car and begin thanking Him for making a way. Praise is not an aspect of your christian walk that God wants you to be quiet about. Shout with a voice of triumph. He has done and is doing great things!

Prayer: Father, I thank You this morning for speaking to me. You are a great God and I praise You! Help me to open my mouth and praise You more. Make it a lifestyle for me. Let it stir up the joy of the Lord in me. Every day, let it stir up my faith and remind me of the God I serve. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
