“And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature'” Mark 16:15, NKJV.
I have to be honest. In my life, there were times when I had to and still fight against complacency about spreading the gospel, not just to the world, but to those around me. The truth is, some of us believers just aren’t motivated, godly burdened, or understanding of the times. We must be honest with ourselves and admit that. Our love is greater for something else. Yet, the Lord is able. Ask God to stir in you an eternal perspective of this life. Those around need to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ that you’ve been given. Your garden of people you didn’t choose, but God did. The family you have. the friends you know and the people you live by. Teal it to make it fruitful. Plant and water, so the Lord can bring increase. You may not see it now, but the seed of the Gospel may spring up a year from now, and they will thank you for sharing Christ with them.
I pray we all receive a godly care, and God’s heart, not just to think about the call but to answer His call, to answer His Spirit as He leads us to go and spread the gospel. With Christ’s help, you can do it.
Prayer. Father, I give You all the glory, honor, and praise. Help me, Father, to focus and go. Give me a supernatural motivation, a burden of love for those around me. Help me not procrastinate and do what You want me to do, call who You want me to call, say what You want me to say, start the conversations I need to start. As the day of Christ’s return approaches, I pray that I also draw closer to my brothers and sisters in Christ. You know what needs to be done in my heart. I come against all complacency. I come against a heart that doesn’t care. Thank You for giving me Your heart to go and spread the Gospel. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
