“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:19, NKJV.
Although you’re a strong man. Although you are very intelligent. You will never be your provider. God is your Provider. He is our Source and helps us provide. Our ego can get in the way of this fear and humility toward God. Sometimes, as men, we want to be the ones who provide. We figured it out. We saved the day. When the truth is apart from Christ, we can do nothing, including providing. He is your Waymaker and mountain-moving God! He leads, and we follow. We’ll pray, and He will show us what provisional decisions to make. He shows us where to go and what to do to create wealth or navigate through a challenge.
Being provider for our wives apart from God can cause us to make decisions to make her happy apart from God. This is not the hour to be out of His will. This is not the hour to lean on your own understanding. The sooner we can humble ourselves and say we are not our wives’ providers, the sooner we’ll depend on God to be our Provider and watch Him come through. Watch Him direct you into His plan on how he wants you to create wealth. Watch Him bless you to leave an inheritance for your children’s children.
By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches and honor and life -Proverbs 22:4
Prayer: Father, I praise You! Thank You for being my Provider. I am not my wife’s provider. You are. Get any pride out of me. I fear You, Lord. I humble myself and submit to Your will and plan. I humble myself to trying to figure it out, and follow You Who already has it figured out. Show me Your way, Take the lead, Father as Provider in my life and for my family. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
