“And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus” Matthew 14:28-29, NKJV.
Never in a time in my life that I would think I need God like I do now. The weather all around me is getting tougher. The pressure is saying to turn around on every side. The waves are raging, saying look at the chaos and quit. It all didn’t begin until I got out of the boat.
We usually focus on him sinking, yet Peter did what no other man, besides Jesus, had ever done. He got out of the boat and walked on water–so have you. You are walking on water right now and things are challenging your faith to go back. Things are challenging your faith to remain diligent. But, you are so close to Jesus’ hands. You are so close to the full purpose of God for your life.
Keep your eyes focused on Jesus and you will press beyond your fears. Keep your eyes focused on Jesus and you will make it past the raging winds. Realize you’re already out of the boat. You’ve already doing more than you realized you ever could through Christ. You have already changed more than you ever have. The impossible in your life is being done already. It’s simply time to finish. Keep walking on the water and lay hold of what God has for you!
Prayer: Thank You Jesus for being a rock for me. I am already out of the boat, so I minus well keep walking on water. You will help me continue to do the impossible. You are taking me farther in my than I’ve ever been. Through You, I can do this. Help me to stay focused on You and become all that You have called me to be! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
