“When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net” Luke 5:4-5, NKJV.
When Jesus asked Peter to let down his nets again, naturally, it didn’t make sense to his mind, to his understanding, to his expertise. He knew what he had already done. Yet, His response to Jesus was at Your word, I’ll do it.
Remember. You don’t have to understand it. You don’t understand how it will grow. You don’t have to understand the next turn ahead. Your responsibility is to obey and let down your net. He is responsible for the catch. Some moments, it won’t make sense. There will be things you won’t understand that God tells you to do. And as a man, you will be fully aware of your expertise. But at His word, do it.
Do it when it comes to your wife. Do it when it comes to your job, do it when it comes. In your day-to-day walk, combat your own understanding. Let down your net. I declare that you will win in your moment of obedience.
Prayer: Father, thank You for speaking to me. Sometimes, it’s hard to obey. Help me in all my obedient moments. I know what I see and think about it all, but I choose to trust You. I decide to submit to you. Give me grace today. Like Peter, I’ll throw out my net. And I thank You, Lord, as I obey You, I will receive an abundance in my life. Great fruit and victory in my life. Most of all, a stronger walk as I follow Christ. Thank you for helping me do it, Father. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

Promises made promises kept all we need to do is be obedient and obey his word and follow his direction. We’ve come too far to give up now.
