“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7

If the enemy can’t stop you from reaching your destination, he will try to make your ride miserable. His goal is that you won’t enjoy your journey on the way to heaven. But I heard the Lord say deal with him early, as soon as you hear him lying and see him operating. Refuse to let him speak a minute longer. He is a defeated foe who is miserable and wants you to be miserable too. He is utter chaotic and wants you to be chaotic too. Refuse him that pleasure by submitting to God and resisting him.

Not only will you reach your eternal destination, my sister, but you are going to enjoy the ride there. You will enjoy your day. You will enjoy God’s grace. You’re not spending this day in your head. You will enjoy the supernatural peace of the Lord. You will receive from His Spirit all of the strength you need. God’s wisdom for that situation is what you will receive. Knowledge and understanding will be provided in full measure for you today. As a redeemed son of God, the spirit of chaos and disorder that is in the world will not trespass into your life. You’ve been bought with the precious blood of Jesus. Your Father in heaven has ordained peace for you, and that is what you will enjoy.

Prayer: Lord, I thank you for your love for me. You want to see me free to enjoy every blessing, including the blessing of peace. So I do what you say, and submit to you and resist the devil. I will not spend today thinking about any of his lies. I submit to you and resist him, putting him under my feet where he belongs. Keep me in your perfect peace. I believe I will reach my destination and highest calling, and because of you, I’m going to enjoy the journey on the way there. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
