“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report” Hebrews 11:1-2, NKJV.
Walking by faith is like going to the grocery store and buying everything your wife asks for on her shopping list. You return home with all of your grocery bags, and your wife asks, “Did you get the detergent?” “Yes”, you respond. She then says, “I don’t see them.” Your next response is, “Yes I did. Here is the detergent on the receipt. See, I purchased it”. God’s word is the receipt of what has already been purchased through Jesus Christ. It brings substance to what you are hoping for, what you have been freely given, and that God will keep His promises, no matter what comes.
You will have what He said, and He will do what He said, even restoration. Just as we have faith in what a receipt says as evidence of what is ours, do the same with God’s word and walk by faith today!
Prayer: Father, I thank you for the power of faith. I thank you for every promise you have made to me. I have the receipt of what Jesus paid for and what has been freely given to me through Him. I thank you for every ounce of wisdom your word provides and the success that comes with following it. Help me stand and walk in the power of my faith! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
