“But He put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, “Little girl, arise.” Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately. And He commanded that she be given something to eat” Luke 8:54-55, NKJV.
God wants you to live. The length of time we get knocked down in life may have been so long, that it can cause us to feel like we’re dead inside. We almost don’t remember h ow it feels to be alive, to be ourselves, to be happy, to worship God and mean it, or to be full of Jesus and His rest.
Begin to enjoy your life. Even if you have to go out to eat at your favorite restaurant today as an act of your faith, then do it. You can go after His plans for you. You can live again. Don’t just get saved, my brother, God wants you to live!
Prayer: Father, I praise You today. I thank You for a great life before me. Jesus, you raised me up, and now you say live. If I have to go and eat physically at my favorite restaurant, I will, but help me not to continue to beat myself up about what I went through. I’m going to enjoy life. I’m going to live. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Study: Luke 8:40-56
I am going through a phase right now which is very discouraging. I am trusting God for a life partner and it’s getting tough as each day goes by. In this part of the world an unmarried girl is looked upon with disregard. I’ll be 50 next year February. Please uphold me in prayers. This devotional is a great comfort to me. Thank you so much
Exactly where I’m at….struggling to believe God, trust Him, not be angry at Him and feel alive again. Right now I feel like a zombie going through the motions, wondering if I’ll ever get out of this pit and be rescued by Him
He certainly will. He is not a man who can lie. I choose to trust Him because He is faithful. Keep trusting sir. He that has promised will perform it. God bless you greatly.
