Yes, let God direct your mouth.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths” Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬, ‭NKJV‬‬.

A lot of trouble experienced can be avoided if we can learn how to control our tongue. Fires start with the mouth. Hurt starts with the mouth. The Lord can help you turn situations around, turn your day around, through the words you trust Him with.

Acknowledge God and let him direct your mouth. Acknowledge God and let him direct the words that you say, and all of your responses. Some things that you think need to be said may not be necessary. The Lord may tell you don’t say that, but say this. He may say only apologize. The Lord may tell you be quiet and don’t respond at all. The Lord may tell you just say God bless you and keep it moving. This is how we come to a place where we build the ability to discern and hear God in all of our ways. Even in the heat of the moment, be okay with slowing down so you can ask and obey God. If the Lord can direct your mouth, He can direct your life.

Prayer: Father, I give you all the glory and praise. You are good and you direct us in all our ways, even with ways of my mouth. Help me to trust you, Father, and let you direct my mouth. I desire to put out fires with my tongue, not start them. I desire God-inspired words and responses. Help me to be quick to lean in and listen to you and slow to speak. As I acknowledge you, build a greater ear to hear you, not only with the ways of my mouth, but the ways of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

I am truly sorry Father! Some people wish for such a blessing and I take it for granted! Have mercy upon me Father! I love You and I thank You for Your saving Grace! In Jesus name, Amen!
