Through it All, Wait on Him!

“I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” Psalm 27:13-14, ESV.

You don’t have to worry. God is in control and on the throne. He takes care of all of His children, even at the right time.

In His timing, He always will bring the best out of a situation, the best out of you and the greatest blessing to you. He is perfect in regarding the work He performs in us. He is sovereign, and even when it doesn’t appear any good will come out of your test or pain, He brings you through it, and uses it to create the masterpiece of your life.

I have always found God to be faithful to His Word, even when it didn’t look like it. He’s been mighty, even when I had no strength, yet had no idea that He was actually carrying me. I would have given up, except that I knew that He was good. Just know that He is forming Christ in you, and in time, you will understand.

Therefore, wait on the Lord! This isn’t the waiting like sitting in a waiting room dental office. This means to have an expectation of Him. Expect Him to do what He said He will do. Expect Him to keep His covenant. Don’t faint because you will see His goodness toward you. He is a good God. So take courage, and through it all, wait on the Lord!

Prayer: Father, you are good! I’m going through some things, even some pain, but I will trust You! Something awesome will come out of this, even more of Jesus formed in me. I will not faint now because I believe You are a good! I will expect to receive Your best. I choose to take courage and wait on You. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!

  1. Timing is everything. And our Father’s timing is perfect. I have made such a mess of my life in every aspect. From finance, health and broken relationships. I recently went back to church and started to make the Biblical changes to repair the life “ I thoroughly destroyed”……. Its overwhelming to say the least and I woke up this morning wanting to quit because of the magnitude of the repair job. Wondering is God really going to fix all these things? He’s not obligated to, He may want the consequences of my actions linger forever. But I read your Devotional today. And yes this is the toughest experience to face my past and change direction but realize He is my hope and my strength and I am to do my part and wait on the Lord. Thank you for the encouragement. You are free to share this if it helps the next person. God Bless

    1. Robert,
I have support in fixing my wreckage of my past. My AA sponsor says to me and I say to you, “It is all right already. Believe that God has the capability to fix you and your mistakes. We have already been forgiven because Jesus died for our forgiveness. Trent means to turn away from sin and not keep making mistakes.
