“Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you” Isaiah 46:4, NKJV.
I was reminded yesterday about the well-known poem of Footprints. It tells of the God that carries us. When it felt like we were by ourselves, He was carrying us all the time. When things seemed hard to get through, He was already there, present to help. He picked us up and brought us to a promised place.
Look back on your life and notice there were times you didn’t know how you’d make it. Yet, He did something, He blessed you, spoke to you, guided you, and favored you. His hand got involved, and you didn’t even realize it. How He did it, you don’t know how. You’ve seen miracle after miracle, showing there were footprints of God in your life.
Right now is no different. He’s right there with you. The grace of God is with you, and He’s doing it again.
Prayer: Father, thank You for being so involved in my life. I didn’t get here on my own. Those footprints in my life are Yours, and You’ve been carrying me. You’ll always be carrying me, and I’m so thankful. Help me never to forget that. Keep leading me, Holy Spirit. You did it then, and You’re doing it now. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
