The call to love senseless.

“But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them…but love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil” Luke‬ ‭6‬:‭32‬ & 35, NKJV‬‬.

With following Jesus, our life-changing witness truly comes, truly is on full display when we love like Jesus. We love those who don’t love us like Jesus. When we don’t benefit. We get nothing in return. We love senseless. By His Spirit, we have the capacity to love those who don’t love us back. He wants our love to be not of this world, which a sinner has to look to God to find out what they just experienced. A love that will talk to someone about Jesus’ love for them. Your heavy call as a son of God, as a man of God, is by His strength to this kind of love.

Be encouraged to give away what you won’t benefit from, trusting that you’re obeying God, and He will take care of you. You may not get a thank you. They may not ever know the love choices you had to make on the inside about them, but your heavenly Father knows. And your reward will be great.

Prayer: Yes, Lord, I hear You. I am called to love like You in this hour. Help me display Your unconditional love to those who don’t know Your love. Make this personal for me. Help me love my enemies, trusting You to take care of me. Help me have faith and be merciful. Even if I don’t get a thank you from them, I’ll get a thank you from You. Hallelujah! I take up my cross and love like Jesus today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
