Shielded in these times

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust’” Psalm 91:1-2, NKJV.

“For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield” Psalm 5:12, NKJV.

I was given a vision of a building collapsing all around me. I could see broken walls, enormous concrete pieces, wires, dirt particles and great amounts of smoke just continually falling. As I looked at myself, I noticed that I was on my knees and a circle of protection surrounded me. Nothing was harming me. The Lord spoke to me and said that there will be much that happens in these times around you, but like a shield, I will surround you, as long as you stay on your knees.

Things may be happening all around you, but nothing will harm you if you stay on your knees. As you stay on your knees, He will cover you, surround you and perfect everything that concerns you. He will speak to you in prayer and lead you. The Holy Spirit will show you things to come. He will bring favor to you and be a shield as you take the offense to advance the kingdom. More than anything or anyone else, He is Who you need.

Prayer: Father, I give You praise and thank You for Your Word. Help me to stay on my knees, praying and seeking You. I submit to Your will. As I do, I thank You that You with favor You will be as a shield covering me. I thank You that You all that I need. You will light my path and show me how to handle my life in these times and show me how to effectively advance Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. I had just gotten off my knees and opened the devotional “Sons of the King” when the Holy Spirit nudged me to reach out to one of the young brothers in our church. I stopped and sent a quick text of encouragement and then began reading the devotion entitled, “Shielded in these times”. The thought was taken from Psalm 91.
While reading the Scripture, I received a return text from the brother which said, “PTL uncle, we are doing fine. This morning I’ve been meditating on Psalm 91 and it’s been a real blessing”. As big as our Bible is, I always find it amazing when I talk to my brothers and sisters and they happen to be meditating and the very same verse. I texted the young brother back and explained my amazement and praise to our Almighty God. We were both blessed by this experience
