“And Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst” John 6:35, NKJV.
“The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing” Psalm 34:10, NKJV.
Like a lion, when a man is hungry, he seeks food, and nothing will stop him from getting it. We do it because we have a clear understanding of the need.
Are you seeking the Lord? Jesus is the Bread of Life, and if there was a time to seek the Lord, it is now. Seek the Lord as if your life depends on it, because it does. Your peace depends on it. Your joy and strength depend on it. Your power and discernment depend on it. Just as we would seek anything else out of a clear understanding of the need, understand our need for God. Jesus is the source of not only our eternal hope, but of a moment-to-moment hope. A moment-to-moment joy. A moment-to-moment guide by His Spirit of what to do when we seek Him. Seek Jesus, Whose yoke is easy and burden light, the only rest for our souls.
Even in these times, God’s word will never fail. They that seek the Lord will lack no good thing. Seek the Lord today!
Prayer: Father, I love You, and even in these times, I understand my need for You. Cause my heart to seek You more than my natural bread. You are my Source of goodness, blessing, and victory. You are my Source for growth and change. I seek after You and Your kingdom. I seek after Your glorious will to be done in my life today. Help me to live according to this wisdom and keep my mind on Your word. Because I seek You, I will lack no good thing. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
