“Know your sheep by name; carefully attend to your flocks…and then, when the crops are in and the harvest is stored in the barns, you can knit sweaters from lambs’ wool, and sell your goats for a profit; there will be plenty of milk and meat to last your family through the winter” Proverbs 27:23-27, Message Bible.
There have been many occasions when I felt like I didn’t maximize the money that was put into my hands. Yet, the more I ruled over and planned the use of my money with God’s wisdom, the better my financial situation was, the more peace I had regarding my needs, and the less self-inflicted struggles I went through.
Sometimes, lack occurs because we don’t apply the financial wisdom we already know. We rule over our money by planning our money. It doesn’t seem spiritual at all, but it is very godly and wise. If you don’t rule over your money with your spirit, your flesh will have you buying things unwisely. You’ll be spending based on how you feel, not because it was a part of a God-given plan on how to use it.
The more faithful you are managing over the money you have, the more God will bless you with and still properly do the things you enjoy. When applied, this kind of wisdom carries you a place of plenty quicker, and make your life as a believer more positioned to be a blessing.
Prayer: God, You are not only God over my life but over my money too. Teach me how to submit to Your counsel over the money You bless me with. I declare no more self-inflicted struggles due to not planning. I am a man that rules over my money. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
