“The [reverent] fear of the Lord [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of wisdom [its starting point and its essence], and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding and spiritual insight” Proverbs 9:10, Amplified.
We not only reverence Him, but the awesomeness of God compels reverence. It will compel a deeper, sincere, heartfelt worship. Just as awe is defined, He is extremely impressive and inspires great admiration to you. He is extremely good and excellent. See the Lord all around you and give Him the glory as God alone. The fear of the Lord is to worship Him and to be in awe of Him.
Meet the Lord in a place of deep reverence and awe of Him. It will unlock humility, wisdom, and obedience. Praise Him as you’re reminded how awesome He is, and how your God can be trusted to handle everything in your life.
Prayer: Father, I stand in awe of You. You inspire great admiration in me. You are extremely good and excellent in all Your ways. Teach me each day how to fear You. Help me be aware of Your awesomeness at all times. I thank You that my deep reverence for You will cause a birth of great wisdom and a new level of trust that I have never been in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Lord, I’m reminded daily of your awesomeness the lily of the fields river Falls, the sky and it’s awesomeness a sunset a sunrise, the animals and where they live, the birds that sing so softly in the early morning hour. Lord I’m so thankful for you, you are an awesome God. keep us safe Lord protected in your hand in Jesus name this day amen.
