“Rejoice in the LORD always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” Philippians 4:4, NIV.
This is a short scripture, but it packs a lot of power. Sometimes, things may not fall in place. Sometimes, it just may not be going your way. Someone else may get the promotion. You may have let God down. You may have let yourself down. However, what does the LORD say you must do: Rejoice in the LORD always!
There’s no middle ground to God regarding when to rejoice. There’s no room given to any time when things get so tough that the Father says you don’t have to do it this time. The decision to rejoice is at all times. Therefore, when you’ve obeyed God and when you’ve messed up. When you have too much to spend and when you don’t. When all is well with your marriage, or you’re on the couch. He tells us to rejoice always because circumstances may change, yet your God remains the same. Your victory remains the same also.
To rejoice is not a decision to be religious, it is a powerful decision to believe God and His word. This means in the midst of whatever you go through, God never leaves your side, therefore, you can rejoice! He will work it out for your good! No matter what you are facing, always thank God for not only the solution, but that He IS the solution and Jesus IS the way!
Prayer: Father, I thank You for another day–a good day. No matter what I face today, I WILL rejoice! I decide to act on Your word not just sometimes, but help me LORD to always rejoice. Help me not to worry, get angry or fearful, but to know that I always win in Christ Jesus. You never leave my side, therefore, I can rejoice always! Hallelujah! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
