“Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me” Psalm 51:10, NKJV.
Many times we look at prospering in terms of money. However, desire for God to prosper you in your heart. As a man, financial prosperity is good, but prosperity of the heart is far better and worth more than gold. It is the heart that soars in Him. It is the heart that trusts in Him.
It is the heart that doesn’t fail in the face of fear and adversity. We have pure intents and motives, and we love the Lord. We sincerely care about people’s well-being. Our hearts are enlarged for the lost. We pray for others like we pray for ourselves, and we do everything out of love. We view sin like God, we have a passionate pursuit for more of Him and we have clean hearts.
This is what David did when he sincerely prayed after this psalm for a clean heart. The Bible says that he was a man after God’s own heart. If your heart has turned away from what really matters, it can turn back. His very repenting alone caused him to prosper–and so will you. Above all, prosper in your heart today.
Prayer: Father, thank You this morning for Your word. Above all things, above blessing me with money, prosper this man’s heart. Increase, grow and enlarge my heart for You and for the lost. Give me a heart that obeys You, delights in You and takes pleasure is being led by You more and more each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
