Prosper me in my heart.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me” Psalm 51:10, NKJV.

We often consider the best way for God to prosper us financially. However, money is the lowest form of prosperity. Desire for God to prosper you in your heart. For a man, financial wealth is good, but the wealth of the heart is far better.

It is the heart that doesn’t fail in the face of fear and adversity. You speak the truth and love the Father. We sincerely care about people and have open hearts toward the lost. We see others in need, and our hearts compel us to become the blessing someone is praying for. Our words line up with our actions. We view sin like God and desire to please Him with the right motives–what He can only see. No matter what we have, we live with humble and grateful hearts.

This is what David did when he sincerely prayed this very psalm. Despite his mistakes, the Bible says that he was a man after God’s own heart. His repenting alone caused him to walk in his greatest prosperity–and if you need to, so will you. Above all, you seek after, seek to prosper in your heart today.

Prayer: Father, I praise you! Above money and things, I ask that you prosper me in my heart. Give me a heart that loves you with everything I have. According to Ephesians 3:16, strengthen me with might by your Spirit in my inner man. Increase, grow, and enlarge my heart for you and others. Help me hold tight to what is good, and can stand for you no matter what comes my way. This is a man’s greatest prosperity. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
