Nothing can stop a submitted man.

“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you” James 4:7, NKJV.

The enemy may come, even with temptation, yet when we let God’s will be done in us and say no to the devil, there is faith and power exercised that the devil can’t stay around. There is love and authority that the devil can’t contend with. He can’t do anything against a submitted man.

This is the man who says I’ve got all I need in whatever God says and whatever God’s will is. This is the same submission Jesus walked in when he was led into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit. When he came out, he then resisted the devil’s temptations three times and told him, “It is written,” exercising authority over him. The devil didn’t want any more smoke from Jesus and fled, knowing he couldn’t win.

If you want the devil out of an area of your life, if you want peace, submit to God first. Yield to what He says is just and right, even if you have to be patient. Esteem His will above your own in that area. Then, God will supply grace to resist the devil, and he will flee. Where there is no devil, there is all of God, and all of the blessings, soul prosperity, and honor He desires will be experienced in your life.

Prayer: Father, I give you all the glory and honor today. I thank you for the power of submission. I humble myself, and I ask you to make me a more submitted man. I decide to submit to you, and as I do, I receive grace and strength. Now I resist the devil, and he must flee because of the mighty Christ in me. Your perfect will be done in and through me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

  1. God is good and if we allow he will guide and guard our hearts and paths. I firmly believe that and love this passage. God bless you all

  2. I praise our Lord for allowing me to wittness this truyh for myself. Matthew 11:28-30 speaks on receiving rest. Than He begins to say thay if we take His yoke upon ourselvs we find rest for our soul. When we learn from Him. Understanding why He walked the way Jesus did we also begin to understand why. When we understand why we also learn how. His Love and His promises, His Grace and His Mercy delivers us from the guilt after receiving His forgiveness. Thus resulting and finding the satisfaction our sould seek. We find the peace knowing thag when become His children, He is faithful to supply our needs. When we are satisfied we are impacted by its abundance, convicted of our wrongs, moved unto repentance, and discover the peace, and rest for our souls. Than we are able to learn how to use the authority as Jesus did thru our relationship with God, obedience to His word, faithfulness of His promise, and the power of His Holy Spirit. Discovering these truths thru applying and exercising His word in faith, we also discover the victory as Jesus did against the enemy! So i praise God even in the midst of trials amd tribulations, even in the face of temptations know that Jesus is more than enough to supply our needs amd supply’s the ability to resist and witnessing the victory over the enemy. The fruits of the Spirit are a testament of the what we reap when we labor in faith and exercise His word in our lives. Patience is one of the best tools to use for our labor in faith as well as a fruit for applying it. May His Love, Power, And Spirit continue to lead us into a stronger bond with Him thru the direction of His word and teach us His victory in Jesus name. Amen!
