“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart” Psalm 37:4, NKJV.
Your heavenly Father is a good God, and just like an earthly father, when it is according to His Word, He will give it to you. I have went to my children on several occasions and asked them what they wanted though, but they didn’t know. So I would wait on them to decide. I would ask them questions to help them see what the desires of their own heart, and then when they seen it, I blessed them with it. Even for me, when I finally seen what I truly wanted in a wife, then God gave her to me–exactly what I desired.
Sometimes, as men we can find ourselves wandering in life, when the heart of it is, if we’re honest, we simply don’t know what we want. It seems very simple, but with certain decisions, it can be challenging to do. No matter the area of your life, ask God to help you to see what you want. Delight yourself in the Lord, pursue the Lord, and He will show you your own heart, who you are, His will for you, and what you really want out of life. Jesus the Good Shepherd desires for you to abide satisfied.
Verse 5 says, “Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.” Now that you know what you want, you can then commit to the course, and the Lord will help you get there.
Prayer: Father, I delight in You and in Your plan for me. In every area, help me discover what I really want and show me what is best for me. As I ask, I will not settle. I commit my way to You, trusting You will bring it to pass. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Where in the Bible do we find the chapter called stanza 5 if we are to do the Lord’s work , shouldn’t we use the Lord words, from the Lord’s book ?so we don’t look like we don’t know what we’re doing,or who He is, 2Tim.2:15
Good morning Edward, We praise God for this ministry being a blessing in your life, and sincerely thank you for your continued support and prayers for this ministry. Our apologies if that was not clear to you. The book of Psalms is a book of songs and poems, and a stanza is a group of the lines (or verses) within a Psalm. We have revised it to make it clear. Thanks Edward and may God continue to richly bless your life. The SOTK Family
