“So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.” Therefore they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten” John 6:12-13 NKJV.
Jesus did a miracle and then told them to keep the fragments to remind them what the Lord had done. It’s wise to keep your fragments of what the Lord has done in the course of your life. They will remind you that God moved for you before, and what your Heavenly Father can do.
You may need a miracle. You may need a way made for you. You are without right now. You need provision right now and you don’t know how or where it will come from. Do you have a fragment somewhere in your life to remind you of what the Lord did before? Jesus said to make sure nothing is lost, nothing is wasted, and to keep those fragments in reach in difficult times. They are meant to be a great source of joy for you. There is something in your life that you can remember that says the Father fed me before. He will feed me again. He will bless me and get me through it again.
Prayer: Father, thank you for the fragments in my life of what you have done for me! May I locate and keep my fragments of when you moved in a great way and blessed me. In trying moments, help me to remember what you did for me. I receive joy, patience and a great resolve today. If you did it before, you will do it again. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
