“Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen” Hebrews 13:21, KJV.

At least thirty times in the New Testament and even much more, you will see God make reference to being in Christ, through Christ, by Christ, or by him. It is even mentioned in scripture to put on Christ. This tells us that it is by Christ Jesus that we are who we are, do the good work that we can do and be well pleasing in God’s sight in how we live.

Everything we do, everything we accomplish, any power that we walk in to have a victorious christian life is through the grace found in Christ. He is our ability. There is no overcoming, except through Jesus Christ, and without him, even being a strong man, you cannot overcome the enemy alone.

By yourself, you can’t do it. Yet, just like stepping into a suit of superpowers, when you step into Him in prayer and yield to Christ in you, you step into His grace, His love, His joy, His wisdom, His power, to execute the will of God for your life.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for letting me know how much I need to depend on Jesus and to live pleasing to You. It’s all in Christ. I ask that You help me to apply this truth and as I pray, I put on Christ today. I yield to the Jesus in me! It is through Christ, in Christ, and by Him that I live victorious! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
