“Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God. Then David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, “Please bring the ephod here to me.” And Abiathar brought the ephod to David. So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” 1 Samuel 30:6-8, NKJV.

Faced with great distress and the threat of being stoned by the men of Israel, David didn’t stop at encouraging himself in the Lord. He said bring me the ephod–I’m going to inquire of the Lord. He expected God to show him what to do because he knew the character of God. God gave David what to do and blessed him to recover all that was taken.

Do not settle for your current situation. If your life doesn’t look like what God said in His word, don’t ever settle for that being your end. Don’t settle for anything less than what He promised you. He promised He would cause your family to work. He would cause your money to work. He would cause your living arrangements to work. He promised rest in your life and wholeness, and He would set you free. Everything concerning what the devil may have stolen, don’t settle for anything less than a restored life. It is a matter of you doing like David and saying I’m going to inquire of God, and He’s going to cause me to recover all.

Confession: My God is going to come through for me! I encourage myself in Him. I’m of the blessing. I’m of the seed of Abraham. I’m in Christ, and I’m not settling for anything less than what God has promised me. I declare this will be a recover all year for me. I’m going to see great things, and God is going to explode in my life as I inquire of Him and do what He’s instructing me to do. He’s going to bless me to recover all! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
