“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort” 2 Corinthians 1:3, NKJV.
My cousin I grew up with just lost her oldest son early this year. It’s was tough for her then, and in this time of the year, it may be tough for her now. I sat down right next to her one day to comfort and encourage her, and from my very own experience, I have found God is the same way.
God is not only Lord of all. He is not only Creator of all things, has all peace, and is all-powerful. He is the God of all comfort. Whatever type of comfort you need, morning, noon, evening, or night, God will give you the exact comfort that you need.
If you have lost someone, or feel alone in this season, know He is not just the Lord, reigning while sitting on His throne. He is always there. He is Father–your Heavenly Father–that will come and sit down right next to you with the hope found in Christ and comfort you, and carry you through it.
Prayer: Father, I thank You that You are the God of all comfort. I reach for supernatural comfort right now from You. Sit down right next to me and encourage me. My hope is found in Jesus Christ. May I even be used to lift and strengthen those around me. Bless those who need comfort in all the world as well. I praise You for victory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
