He took your place.

“For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 6-8, NKJV.

I don’t know how many times I have humbly rehearsed the truth that Jesus took our place. We could have been the ones nailed to the cross, and deservingly so. Yet, Jesus took our place, and we have received the immeasurable grace of God.

You can be glad you will never have to pay for what sin requires. It’s a heavy price. It’s a great price, and only One man could pay it all. The works of the flesh and darkness have been rendered powerless. The devil has been dominated and defeated. You now stand in Christ’s victory. All of your sins are gone, never to be associated with your life. They have been thrown as far as the east is from the west. You stand righteous, whole, and free because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ. You are a clean man. That should make you happy. Receive His great love and grace today. Refuse to receive nothing less than the life Jesus paid for you to live.

Prayer: Father, I give You praise and glory today! Thank You, Jesus, for taking my place. Help me to continue to understand Your immeasurable love and grace toward me. If You loved me enough to take care of my sin, surely You love me enough to take care of my life. I have victory over sin, and now I reign through Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
