He Sees Your Labor of Love

“Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father, knowing, beloved brethren, your election by God.” 1 Thessalonians 1:2-4, NKJV

I have worked for a staffing company before, and even though I worked at another business, the staffing agency was really the one that took care of me. All my pay and benefits and rewards came from them. When I did something great on the job, the staffing company wasn’t physically there, but somehow they would always find out and would reward me for it.

Likewise, though we live on this earth, we are citizens of the kingdom of God, and we serve Him, not the world. Our blessings come from the Lord. He sees your labor of love. He sees your acts of kindness. He sees you hold your tongue and love your enemies. He sees you apologize when you didn’t have to. He sees you opt to not defend yourself. When you chose to be a man of integrity and be honest about your mistake, the Lord watches that. He sees your longsuffering and forbearing of others.

Love appears like you receive the least, but in fact, it yields the greatest fruit in your life. The Father is pleased when we represent Christ, and it is pleasing in His sight. Don’t become weary in well-doing because you will reap if you don’t faint. When no one knew, you will find that He saw all your work of faith and love, all that you do, because He’s going to reward you for it my brother.

Wherever you are, be encouraged to keep up the good work of His love.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Word. It can get challenging sometimes, but I will continue to love. You see all of my labor of love Father and may it be pleasing in Your sight. I do it as unto You. I worship you through how I live. I serve You and You are the One that sees me, blesses me and rewards me. Grace me to love and I pray the more I love others, the more Your love changes their lives–and mine. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
