“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” Matthew 6:26 NKJV.
I took our two youngest kids asked to go to the playground, so I took them to Burger King to eat and play yesterday. They were enjoying their food and having a great time. Out of the blue, while eating our son says from his heart, “Thank you daddy for bringing us to Burger King.” You’re welcome son”, I said. At that very moment, I was touched deeply, even about to tear up because it hit me that I am who they are depending on to feed them. For them, there’s no other way. It touched my heart to know they lean on their father to take care of them each day.
As God’s son, the Father knows you are depending on Him. He knows you made Him your Source. If He doesn’t do it, if He doesn’t move, it won’t get done. He is touched as a father with his children. He is touched by the responsibility of caring for His children and He honors it well. He takes care of the birds and He will take care of you. He will feed you and He will feed your life with good things. You can lean on Him to provide for you, lead and guide you, and arrive at great places in your life. He will make a way each day.
Prayer: Thank You, Father. You are good and You care for us. If You don’t do it, it can’t get done. You will never fail me. I humbly depend on You today. Help me to be the man I’m called to be. Lead and guide me. Provide and make a way. You take care of the birds. You will take of me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
